The Company

Formed in 2011 in Oakland CA, AguaClara Flamenco is led by artistic director Clara Rodriguez. Productions by the company feature the musical collaboration and contribution of guitarist David McLean. The company has presented full-length works Somos Tierra and Diálogos at the Cowell Theatre, produced by the Azahar Dance Foundation in 2012 and 2015. In 2016, the company presented Martinete in the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, and was commissioned to present in the 40th anniversary festival in 2018 at the War Memorial Opera House. AguaClara Flamenco has presented three seasons in the 2016-2018 San Francisco International Arts Festival, and performs on the local circuit at venues such as The Sound Room, Yoshi's, and La Peña Cultural Center.
